I am looking for a way to bring up the create thread screen in my home page.  On my main foum page - there is a list of  different forums.  To create a thread you need to click into a forum and then choose 'new thread.'  On the next screen I am shown a drop down menu where it looks like you should be able to choose which forum the post goes into.  When I hover over this, I get a red 'no' symbol.

Is there a way I can link to this new thread screen and have that dropdown enabled?  Ideally the user can choose to create a thread from other pages in our website and the 'new thread' screen will appear allowing them to select which forum the thread belongs in by using the drop down.
