Well, this took a bit more work than just doing what Scott posted. I found issues regarding the life cycle, plus the fact that the views in the forum that need this (thread view, post view) aren't ascx controls I found I had to modify the base object the forum uses and use the dispatch page (Forum_Container.ascx) to enable these properties for use in these classes. It worked out pretty well though.

What we have in Threads view now for title is "Forum Name - Portal Name" and for posts view you will see "Thread Subject - Portal Name".

The format came after speaking w/ Anthony Glenwright (of Inventua) we discussed what is best based on how the bots index and rate content. I also took a trip to asp.net/forums to see how they did it. They do Portal Name - whatever format. This to me seems a bit off and not adding much value for indexing. (Because every post will have a title Portal Name at the beginning.)

Anyways, its in the source now.
