Several people have mentioned that the DNN Core Forum is no longer being supported (latest version 5.0.3).  And that we should be migrating to ActiveForums.  Is there a clear upgrade path from Forum 5.0.3 to ActiveForums 5.2.2?  Is there a KB or FAQ describing how to do this?

it's true the developer of the dnn forum no longer has time/interest in working on it, but it works fine (hence we're using it here). Ideally someone else would take the project on or fork it, but at present it's true that activeforums is being actively developed and dnn forum is not - questions about moving to activeforums might be better off at http://www.activeforums.org/ as I don't know if there is a migration/upgrade path (at one point there was one that mostly worked, but I don't know what state it might be in now). Note: if we need changes done for dnnsoftware.com we'll contribute those back to the dnn forum codeplex site, or whoever takes on the project.

Nothing really wrong with the core forum module, we are happily using it as well. Some fixes and enhancements implemented for it and lately converted everything into Windows Azure as well.
