Hi,

I need to integrate news & events with the DNN site. 
That will provide back-end to add news-title, image (optional), text. 
In the home page these news&events will be displayed in blocks. 
These blocks can be moved right or left. (sliders like).
Upon clicking the block this will take to the news & events pages. 

Please tell us if you have provision in DNN. 
Or else kindly help us in suggesting free or paid extension (module) for the same.

have a look at DNN Events module (http://dnnevents) and News modules from the store (e.g. NewsArticle from www.ventrian.com)

Events:
The DNN Events module (http://dnnevents.codeplex.com/) is the only one I know - it was good for all usecases I had to work on.

News:
The DNN NewsFeed module (http://dnnnewsfeeds.codeplex.com/) allows to display RSS Feeds - nothing else.
NewsArticles from Ventrian is a very good module for that purpose, if you want to write your own articles as well. Also have a look at EasyDNNNews (http://www.easydnnsolutions.com/Modul...) and Nuntio Articles (http://www.peppertree-solutions.com/p...).
