I am still quite new to DotNetNuke 7 administration, so I apologize in advance if I leave out important information or have made a simple mistake.

I am running DNN 7.03.04 on a Server 2012 box.

Everything was running fine until we installed the modules 33884_0_VignaharaCerulean_01.01.00 and 34982_0_2sic_2Conent_07.02.02

Most of the site still responds as expected, but items like "Add new page" or navigating to the "host" or "Site settings" admin pages all result in the same error:

A critical error has occurred. Could not load type 'System.Runtime.CompilerServices.ExtensionAttribute' from assembly 'mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'.

From googling this appears to be a pretty generic error. I installed .NET 4.5 on the server as a suggested fix, and it has not changed the error. I have also tried to remove the modules but this hasnt corrected the issue either. I've been trying to limit the number of changes I've made since this error has appeared, so I have not taken any other troubleshooting steps thus far aside from the .NET 4.5 install

there might be an issue with some settings in web.config, I suggest comparing with web.config from a newly downloaded DNN package.
