Hello,

I am having a little problem, I know this issue has been going round inside this forum for a couple of times allready, but without a satisfying answer for me.
I know now that you can't authorize edit roles when using the Firefox webbrowser, so I switched to IE allready.
I am a new user in DNN, so excuse me if I am making a stupid question, but when I try to authorize edit roles inside Internet Explorer, I can select the groups, like administrators and subscribers... but I can't press the ok button to apply these changes.

I came up with a great idea (maybe another stupid thing of me) to install the latest version of the forum 3.20.06 but stry enough my package of DNN came with version 3.20.07 (DNN 4.3.2 RC) now I hope this difference in the version number is not the release year, because when this would be a bug in this release I don't want to wait 'till the first release in the next year.

OK, have one more question, but I'm not sure if I should put this in another thread, so if you guys say I should post this in a new one, I will be happy to do that.
I downloaded and installed the dutch language files, but the forum remains english.... is there some kind of file I need to change for this so the forum menu's would be in dutch when you change the language setting to Netherlands?

Hope that my questions are clear enough and I hope that you guys can help me with this issue.

I just wanted to add that the ok button is not grayed out.  I didn't edit my own message because I don't want to have the situation that somebody else is answering my question and asks about this issue, while I change my text in the meantime.

Maybe I should give some more explanation about what I want to do with this forum.
I want to have a part of the forum where users can post stuff freely, another part where users can post but needs to be moderated, because I want to keep that part of the forum as clean as possible.
This is allready working and is no problem for me.

Now comes the tricky part, I want to have a forum where only a certain group of users can post, like moderators.... but others can't and I tried to make this forum role restricted, but since I can't authorize edit roles or choose any authorize roles, I came stuck here. And because I checked the role restricted box, this forum is not vissible now, this is not an issue right now, but it will be in the future.

Also a new question from me, is there a way you can make forums where normal users can't start a new thread?  Or do I have to change some settings that I can't?

Anyway, hope that this explains my problem more, and I hope that someone can answer my questions before my site goes life, which should be according to the planning on my next radio show, next wednesday.

I don't understand what your problem is with the authorized edit roles or authorized roles. As far as I know this works fine (may be issues in firefox so use IE).

Well I allready found out that Firefox is having a problem with this, inside a blog of John Henning there would be a fix for webcontrols in firefox.
But I allready used IE for this, and it's working fine, except when I try to apply these settings by pressing the ok button, nothing happens.... infact I can press the ok button for as many times as I want, but the selection window remains open.

I don't know what is wrong, and to be completely honest, I can't understand why I am the only person having this problem.
I even tried to do this on another pc, just to be sure that there was nothing wrong with my pc settings. I also switched off Norton Internet Security, because this gave problems in the past on other sites.
The only thing I can think of is that I need another version of IE, which is now 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 dutch, but I don't think this would be an issue either, so I am really stuck now.
But I am using firefox as my standard browser, but am using IE to keep trying to make this thing work.
