No, the DNN Forum is another Project which was originally packaged with DNN but split off into a separate Project, until the original developers sunsetted further development. A few community members recently created a few maintenance patches.

I am done converting PHPBB to DNN Forums.  I picked it even though it isn't as "cool" as Active Forums because AF is a third-party product and I wanted to stick as close to OOB as I could to protect us from third party products losing support.  So, what I have actually done is picked something that is losing support?   So, what should I have chosen?  I was nearly done with the AF conversion when I learned it was third-party and switched.

Not at all. DNnCorp owns ActiveModules now. Hence, the forum is essentially theirs at this point.

That was what I thought I read, so I posted my questions about AF in the community and was told otherwise, read earlier in this thread, that it was 3rd party and to contact the AF folks.
