Hi there.

I've done a lot of searching today and found several other posts that talk about users not being able to see the "attachments" section of the Edit Post form.  The fix for those appeared to be either checking the "allow attachments" checkbox in the module settings or making sure that forum users were in a role that had read and write access to the attachment folder specified in the forum settings.

I have checked folder permissions and the checkbox is checked.

I have a site that has been in place at a client for a while, and they appear to only be able to see the attachments section of the form if their account is a superuser (I though it might just be admins, but the only accounts I can confirm have access are superusers.

This site is using Active Directory Authentication, and I don't see any errors related to the forums.  DNN 7.4.1 with Forums 5.0.3 from github.

Any ideas on what to look at?

You did verify that forum permissions allow attachments for role that user is in? This setting is enabled/disabled per forum for each role.

Also, found a bug that it was not possible to later disable attachments anymore.

Fixed with this simple fix that can be changed directly in the file system.

Yes.  After my previous testing, Registered users and Administrators have the same permissions (everything is checked except notify and unmoderated).

My primary account is a superuser, and I'm re-testing now to make sure that is the distinction that's causing the attachments section to be displayed or not.

I don't see anything about attaching images.  This is from one of the forums (fora?).

I also cannot upload a file for linking or an image for embedding in the body of a post unless I am in as at least Admin.  The buttons are there but they don't offer the upload tab.

On a related note, Since images in the forum are not responsive, I set up the usual width:x%;max-width:xxpx; class in my stylesheet for the div around the body of the post but the images are not responding.  Anyone else have a fix for this?

Thanks again,

JoAnn
