Dear Wiki Team,

i have some criticism to the new Wiki Module Version.

  1. All SqlDataProviders have many issue.  Please see my Post in Developer Forum.
  2. The use for post of wiki users are not simple enough.  The most users have no HTML Knowledge, so they must have a simple "Add Post" and perfectly existing Categories.
  3. I think it is better to make the Navigation as a seperate Control, so this can be insert at the left or right pane.

Regards

Matthias

I have one thing too, which I actually think was nicer in the old module...

It'd be nice if you could have the same wiki site used in several DNN pages.  The old module let you choose a site and door, so far I have not found a way to do this with the new wiki module, it's basically a new wiki site for each new wiki module.  If there is a way to do this that is known, please let me know...

Jurgen,

did you try to use "Add existing Module" from the control panel?

I second this idea.  The ability to have the navigation separate would be great.  Then I could let users search the Wiki from another page.  I could put the search box with the FAQ page, and let them search either the Wiki or the FAQs.  That would be really nice.

The wiki seems to work pretty darn well.  Keep up the good work!

I believe that adding every single page that is created within the Wiki on the navigation is a little excessive as only the main pages should be listed.  For instance on my site I currently have several main pages that split off into topics that fall under that main pages category.  An example would be the programming page.  On that page all sorts of sub topics are spawned off that should honestly only be available under the programming page.  These sub topics should not in any case show up in the navigation on the left as this is going to cause too many pages to eventually show.  There should be a choice basically to have sub topics that are only listed on the main page for that overall topic, this will help to keep the side navigation menu a lot cleaner and more organized.  If this is already possible then I am missing the way to created this so if some one could fill me in that would be greatly appreciated.
