I recently started using the community version of DNN/

I have downloaded, deployed, installed and then added the wiki module to a page I had created.

Having added the wiki module and configured it and set up the editing permissions for the wiki, I now have a problem that I am sure I won't be able to resolve easily.

I set up a topic title as WikiHomePage so that I could put some text into the wiki home page - but am struggling with the text content  (can get some in, but not too much). The edit page function of the wiki only shows half a screen - the bottom part is blank. There is an item below the page title with a + sign next to it that opens up a few data entry boxes. If I do that then magically the save and cancel links appear at the bottom of the window underneath the white space - hence I can fill up a bit of the text box and get some text saved on the wiki home page. If I get the text to the bit where the text editing box outline disappears then anything else I type is not visible either so I can't do it properly.

Is this a bug? Is it something else I'm just not familiar with?

Please help!

To ensure I had as clean an environment as possible - I downloaded another instance of DNN Community edition 6.1.1 to a new site, then downloaded and installed the wiki extension 4.5.0 into that site. Having configured the wiki, and added a single page called wiki to the default installation the problem still occured.

I placed the wiki module below the HTML module in the main content pane without deleting the HTML module. The usable space available to the page editor when editing the WikiHomePage content was even less than on my original site.

I deleted the HTML module from the wiki page layout and the usable space available to the page editor when editing the WikiHomePage increased to what I had seen on my original site.

I am going to try changing the wiki configuration - eliminating Rating and then Comment facilities to see if that makes any difference.

Tried those things - made no difference.

In desperation tried running Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Same site/database/portal - no problem !!!! So what stops it working in IE?

I believe this is an issue with the new default skin, I haven't had a chance to reproduce it yet, but will fix it for the next release.

I just found a missing closing DIV tag, wondering if that might be the issue you ran into.

Can you try adding

to the very end of your edit.ascx file and see if that fixes your problem?
