In DNN 6.1.4, upgraded to Wiki 4.5.1 and got this error when accessing the Wiki module:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: e:\web\public_html\site\wwwroot\DesktopModules\Wiki\Start.ascx(16): error BC30560: 'CommentCount' is ambiguous in the namespace 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Wiki.Comments'.

Deleted it and re-installed 4.5.0.

Reported it in CodePlex.

I just replied to your codeplex issue, can you check to see if there are any extra Wiki dlls in the BIN folder?

There is a file there: DotNetNuke.Modules.Wiki.dll

However, to recover after the error I did remove the module and checked "Delete files", then installed 4.5.0. So this file in Bin is likely from that since it has a time stamp from that time.

P.S. I am the original poster. It looks like DNN is now doing an automatic register process when you come over from posting at the CodePlex site, so it gave me a new ID.

I just upgraded the site a second time to 4.5.1 and it works fine. Perhaps uninstalling and deleting files fixed the problem, if there was an extra file in the Bin folder.

To look into the matter further, I just looked at the backup files from before the upgrade and there are TWO Wiki files in the BIN folder:

DotNetNuke.Modules.Wiki.Comments.dll
DotNetNuke.Modules.Wiki.dll

I can't be sure that the 4.5.1 upgrade did not delete that Comments.dll file, but I do now know that it was there before the upgrade.

On this site, there was no Wiki data yet. If there was, would this strategy of uninstalling and deleting files have also deleted any Wiki data? When I reinstalled 4.5.0, I had to add the Wiki module to the page again. If there had been data, would it have been deleted too?

Thanks.

When you uninstall the module it will delete the existing Wiki data.

The upgrade to 4.5.1 should have deleted the comments DLL, the first time around it apparently didn't for some reason. I'll try to do some testing and see if I can recreate that.

As for your login/id we made some changes to the way the downloads for dotnetnuke work, if you were logged in prior to downloading I don't think it should have created a new account for you, but if you weren't logged in, that is likely what happened. I'll follow up with the team that manages that.
