Hi There

I am trying to implement a tabStrip wizard control in a dotnetnuke module. Not being a javascript expert, I am relying on the code provided with the webcontrols example. Within this there is a reference to retrieving the tabstrip object. As dnn renames the controls at run time, how can I dependably reference this object in my module javascript. I tried the following below but it has obvious limitations.

Regards, Colm.

function

{

if (m_oTS == null)'dnn_ctr371_ViewModule_MyDNNTabStrip'];return m_oTS;

m_oTS = dnn.controls.controls[

}

The approach I typically take is to send down the naming container (namespace) for its parent into a client-side variable.  Something like,

ClientAPI.RegisterClientVariable(Me.Page, "tabstripNS", MyDNNTabStrip.NamingContainer.ClientID, True)

Then on the client

dnn.controls.controls[dnn.getVar('tabstripNS') + '_' + 'MyDNNTabStrip');

Or simply register the tabstrips clientID if you only need to reference that.
