Lack of proper documentation, convoluted and awful skinning - Working with this mess is enraging...

I'm seriously pushing my crackhead workmates who thought adopting DNN would be a good idea to switch to a more stable and mature CMS. Damnit, I'd pay for the license on my own just so I don't have to face this nightmare again.

Hi NotInMyName,

Hopefully you just came to vent and weren't looking for any particular responses -- we've all been there before.

Just thought I'd throw out that there are many menus that may be used in DNN, each lying at different specific points in the Documentation-Ease of Skinning-Cost space.  Though you generally get what you pay for, there are also some very low-cost solutions that have great doc-ease-cost combinations.  If you aren't satisfied with your current menu provider, I suggest trying another!

Good luck!

Brandon

There's no better way to get what you want than to write something one's self.  The fact that you are able to do so demonstrates one of the great strengths of DotNetNuke, in my opinion.

Best of luck!

Brandon
