Hey there -

Sorry if this has already been asked, I haven't found anything yet through searching. I'm just curious if there are any security equivalents to tap into from the client side. For example, in a control markup I can say <% IsEditable %>...I'm just wondering if there is anything I can use before I journey off to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks!

Briana

A quick thought would be to create and register the javascript during the PageLoad function and incorperate what you need based on the securites when the page loads.

Hi Baatezu - thanks for the response. I've got two options right now. The first is I registered 4-5 client variables during the page_Init that I can get to. Then I also am looking at integrating some techniques like those I found in the IWebLite project. It checks user security through web service calls that may come in handy also. I'm not completely sure about that yet, I have only been looking at it this morning. The project is on CodePlex in case you're interested.

Thanks again!

Briana

My templates on codeplex show how to invoke server side methods from the client.  Once your on the server you can verify the user's authentication.  I suggest looking at the videos there.  If you have specific questions feel free to post them here.
