Hi,

Could someone point me to a simple (e.g. HelloWorld) example of a client callback using DNN's Client API? I've downloaded the help file "DotNetNuke Client API Client Callback" (Jon Henning, 2006) and have tried following it but haven't got anything to work yet.  Something simple like clicking a button and returning a string from the server would be great. I'm really confused.

I'm currently using .NET 2.0 and DNN versions 4.8/4.9 so do most things in the aforementioned article still apply or has it been superceded by something new? I'm only starting out at this kinda stuff and want to know that I'm looking in the right areas. Even if there is soemthing new I'd still appreciate the above example though because I may have to extend a module that uses that functionality.

Thanks,

Norman

Personally, I think the easiest way to get up to speed on doing callbacks is to use the templates I provide on codeplex, including a set of videos.  The templates are geared towards DNN5, but the same set of code can be used with DNN 4.x.  To keep it simple, I would start out using them with DNN 5 just like in the videos.
