Any help please.. to roll back or correct

I downloaded and installed WebControls  V02.04.00 onto DNN 6 and now get the following error on the site:

I manually restored DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll & DotNetNuke.WebUtility.dll from a local install and I now have access to my site again.

Any information on how or why this error occurred would be great.

Cheers,
Stephen

The DotetNuke.WebControls.dl assembly is usually DNN version specific In the case of the latest release it was apparently compiled against DNN 6.01.00 which at this point has only been released as a beta.

Unfortunately, there is no mention on the project's downloads page of the minimum version of DotNetNuke required. Nor is there a core dependency node specified in the packages manifest file that would prevent installation on sites running under an earlier DNN version.

Restoring the dll's allowed me to log on as host & delete the WebControls library.

Now, in any other browser than Chrome, pages reload every 5 or so seconds.

Any information on how to remove remnants of the WebControl please.

Thanks for your response William,

Can you give any clues on how I could trace which files have changed &/or database entries have been made?

I've looked for a way to contact the WebControls team, but this is the only place I can find. Do you know of another way?

Cheers,
Stephen
