Hi,

I've just made my first attempt at using the ClientAPI (on DNN 4.0.3), by following the Client Callback pdf doc ...

I get this error msg: "failed: 400 - Unable to cast object of type 'ASP.default_aspx' to type 'DotNetNuke.UI.Utilities.IClientAPICallbackEventHandler'. (dnn_ctr370_ModuleTest_ddlTest)"

Which to me looks like default.aspx is trying to handle the callback instead of my module trying to handle the callback

I did notice that the pdf doc starts with:

Step 1 - Implement the IClientAPICallbackEventHandler
Public Class WebForm1
Inherits System.Web.UI.Page : Implements IClientAPICallbackEventHandler

Why do the docs refer to a Form, when in DNN all modules consist of UserControls?

Thanks

JK

Sounds like you are specifying the page as the callback control for the GetCallbackEventReference method (Page 2-3).

The example you are referring to is a standalone sample, that does not require DotNetNuke at all.  This is why it is referring to a form (Step 4 states the optional step if already in dotnetnuke).

If you want a sample module using a callback let me suggest downloading the HelloAJAX module (download).
