okay - my callback event is only supposed to work if the person is logged in - if I let my app sit how do i test and redirect if the session has expired

I tried this in my RaiseClientAPICallbackEvent function but it just gives me a failed result

If UserId < 1 Then

response.Redirect(navigateurl,True)

End If

So how can this be done?

TIA

TIA

Don't we use zero based counting within the DNN framework, just the same as within the .net framework? If so, then I would think that you would want to check and see if the UserID is < 0 or = -1 ...

Just a thought ...

I callback is not the same thing as page navigation.  It does not make sense to have a callback do a redirect.  This is like saying let me have a webservice do a redirect.  I suggest returning some value that allows the client to determine that the callback failed due to security and have the client do a redirect (document.location.href='somepage.aspx')

Not really the thread for this but yes - however there is no user 0 so just checking that user is less than 1 works also. Don't think you can make an argument of speed or anything for this one.

IMO

NOTE: TIA is shorthand for 'Thanks In Advance'
