Let's say you have installed a language pack, and then customized it. Then you perhaps want to make a copy of the current production portal to a test site to test a new upgrade or something, but how do you get the updated languages files with you? Just installing the langauge pack itself again won't do, as it doesnt contain your changes, and doing manual copying of files is not realy practical. It it possible to export a language pack from DNN, ie taking the current langauge files and from them generate a language pack?

Of course. The customization you made over the resource texts is stored in the very same resx language files. If you export a language package for a specific locale, all updated resx are added to the ZIP file. And then, when you import that pack again into another DNN site, you are taking those customized resx texts with you.

Saludos,
Alejandro.

modifications, made to original language packs by editing using Language Editor in Host menu in "System" mode will be included in a language pack created by "create language pack. All modifications in admin or host mode will be ignored but also not be overwritten when installing an updated language pack.
