how can I configure this? Is it sufficient enough to create a second portal and make the second language the default?

Sakis,

in general, yes, but you should also create a landing page (not necessarily dotnetnuke), that offers the language selection and forwards to the portal. if you have different skins for both portals, you might also include a link to switch to the other language portal.

Hi Sebastian,

I want some clarifications. If I use the same skin then there is no obvious way to link to the other portal.Right?

So I have to use a slightly different skin.My main concern is how do I manage the content?

When I use a sub-portal do I have an exclusive page and file manager?

thanks

Hi Sakis,

if you use fixed links in your skin, you either need adopted versions per portal or develop a custom skin object, that can be used as a switcher like the core [language] token.

If you use separate portals per language they will be completely independent in its site structure with separate files (including images), user base and permissions.

Thanks Sebastian,

where is the best place to insert this portal link?

One more question. I am using 4.8.

I remember that while using 4.5. I created a subportal.

But I can't remember now...

to add a new Portal go to
