Hey,

Currently, my mod says *Note: Membership to this portal is Public. Once your account information has been submitted, you will be immediately granted access to the portal environment. All fields marked with a red arrow are required.

I need to alter this, and can't find it in the Languages.  Any help you can give me, would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

-Chris

Try Languages > Available Locales. Select the required language from the drop-down list. Go to Resource Name: MESSAGE_REGISTRATION_INSTRUCTIONS.Text.

For more details check out this tutorial on Online Help http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?TabId=787&TID=2777&cid=545

if you want to edit this per portal, go to languages in Admin menu, otherwise use Languages in Host Menu. Enter the language editor (in Host menu select mode "host").

The key, you are looking for, is in the file, that is opened by default. Scroll down to the "EMAIL_..." fields and alter the appropriate text. Save your changes.

I want to do what Chris requested in his original message. The problem is that the "Resource Name: MESSAGE_REGISTRATION_INSTRUCTIONS.Text." does not appear to be anywhere in the available Resource Names. The Online Help says to look as you have indictated, but if it is there, it is really hidden? Is there a chance that the MESSAGE_REGISTRATION_INSTRUCTIONS.Text. Resource Name is not there, or was renamed? I tried to follow the other response saying to look at the "default" page, and "email...", but could not nind anything either?

THANKS. John Davies

I found the answer in another DNN post as follows.  It would be good to put the additional info in the Online Help at some point. The "PrivateMembership.Text"  is actually at least 2/3rds down the list. THANKS

Refer to the answer earlier in the thread. Go to Admin, Languages and open the language editor. The string you are looking for is named PrivateMembership.Text and is in the SharedResources.resx file.
