Hi,

I am using in DotNetNuke a swf file that reads its text from a xml file. Because my site is multilanguage I want to be able to make for every language a separate xml file. My idea was to do it like the resx files. But in a way it isn't working.

What I would like to know is how I can make sure the if the url is Home/tabid/36/language/en-US/portals/0/ that it finds the en-US xml file in the right place. The same for /Home/tabid/36/language/nl-NL/portals/0/.

Maybe I am on the wrong path but any help is very appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Perry van der Meeren

there are 2 options: in ASCX skins, you might use inline script to get culture from current thread), in DNN 4.9.0 you also might use the [TEXT] skin object to emit URL from the skin's resource file (AFAIR Shaun has posted in his blog a few month ago).

in my blogpost about inline skin objects, i used the option to get the current culture from the thread, it might contain some code you can use: http://www.erikvanballegoij.com/tabid/36/itemid/20/Creating-a-DotNetNuke-inline-skinobject.aspx

Thank you all for the tips. This gives me some more possibilities to look into it.

Perry
