Hi All

I'm still fairly new to DNN and am trying to figure out how to localise an existing English portal which now also needs to be available in French and German.

I've made a start by reading DotNetNuke Localization.pdf which I downloaded but, like the DotNetNuke Module Localization Guide.pdf doc which I also downloaded, it was written in 2005 and so I'm guessing it is now out of date.

Can anyone point me to a good resources on where to start localising with DNN ? I'm using the community edition 5.0.0.

BTW, I have a good understanding of building international sites using ASP.NET but just need some pointers with the DNN was of doing things.

TIA

Smeat

if you want to create an ML site, you need ML solutions like www.codeplex.com/EALO and ML modules like www.codeplex.com/magiccontent

Does anyone know of any workable localisation solutions for DNN 5.0 at this stage,

EALO seems like the most suitable in many ways - but is based around 4.x core elements not 5.x core elements.

AFAIK Erik already got his modules to work with DNN 5 (Apollo Software).

However be aware, that DNN 5.0.1 is still experimental and not recommended for production use.
