Hello guys,

I tried to create additional fields for my registration process. Opened admin>user accounts>Manage Profile Properties>Add New Profile Property.

Entered Russian text into field Property Name, filled out the rest of the form, submitted the form and got this error "The property name cannot contain spaces". I tried to enter some Chinese charackters into the field. Got the same result. When I enter Latin text into the field, it took it. And, when I  selected field type as a List, I was able to populate the list with Russian words.

It looks like Property Name filed doen't accept any other encoding except English.

I'm building my site in Russian and I need the registration to be in Russian.

Please advice how to workaround this problem.

Thanks.

please always provide an English name w/o spaces first, before providing localized caption and group name.

Hi Sebastian. Please forgive my poor English. If I understood, you're sudgesting entering Field Name in English and then entering caption in Russian. The problem is that there is no Caption choice on that form. I face the only choice entering Property Name in Russian, which is not accepted.

Please sudgest step by step workaround.

Thanks

Klim,

In profile property definition wizard, the first step asks for original name, while on the next page there is the option to provide localized captions per installed language. It might be necessary to have a second language (english US) temporarily enabled to make this page show up.

Sebastian,

I am a beginer in DNN.

I would appreciate it very much if you guide my step by step where to go to fix this problem.

Let say, I am logged in as a host. Where to go next ? What menu item to select and what pages to open? What actions to perform?

Thanks a lot for your help
