Dear members,

My website requires multi lanuages. I downloaded effority Ealo's various modules for HTML text, BreadCrumb, menu, page title, for my DNN 4.9. They are all working perfectly.

However, some other areas including the logo at the header and other links at the bottom are NOT localised.

Could anyone please tell me if multi-language modules for logo and links are available both free and commercial version?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Steve

most of the sites are using same logo in all languages, i.e. you need to use a custom [LOGO] with language specific options or use [TEXT], which does support TokenReplace and localization. Same applies for custom links on the skin, default links like "Login", "Terms of Use","Privacy" are localized inside DNN, using the language editor.

Dear Sebastian Leupold,

Thank you for your reply.

I am new to DNN. Following your advice, I use the language editor, and navigate to \admin\Log\App_LocalResources\SiteLog.ascx.resx. But I CANNOT find the link for logo, "Login", "Terms of Use", and "Privacy" in Languages under Admin.

Could you please elaborate on it, or provide me links to the setup procedure, if available.

Thank you in advance.

Steve

King Steve,

Labels of skin objects are localized by editing the files inside /admin/Skins/app_locaResources (DNN4) or  /desktopModules/admin/Skins/app_locaResources (DNN 5.1+)

if you need extra function to a skin object, you might need to develop your own one, deriving from default ones. how do you plan to provide different logo files via UI, which only supports one atm (this may change in 3.3. with introduction of first settings localization UI). if you refer to a fix path with a language key in it, it might be easier using inline code or [text] skin object with TokenReplace.

Dear Sebastian Leupold,

Thank you for your help and your time.

Following your advice, I think I can localise the Login, search, terms and copyright located in ~\admin\Skins\App_LocalResources\. What about the logo and bottom links considering effority Ealo is used for localisation?

Please excuse me for the question: Could you please tell me how to use [text] skin object with TokenReplace? I am new to DNN 4.9.
