For seo, Localization Extensions, have my preference, it create good urls like

www.mysite.com/en/product_in_english.aspx

www.mysite.com/fr/produit_en_francais.aspx

More info at : http://www.adequation-dotnetnuke.com/...

I think the concept of Adequation is very good (KISS) - BUT it is just not feasible on a large site with user generated content. This would require a duplicate page for every language - I have over 200 pages on PokerDIY - unless I misunderstood it I have to duplicate every single one of them for each language? It would be great for small, static portals though.

we use the approach of language specific pages for sites with different content per language, e.g. with a few translated pages only.

However, for sites with similar content, we need to implement a true ML approach.

I agree with you.

Just for info, an other benefit i find in duplicating pages is that you can have differences in the content of eatch language part of your site.

In the real world of a website life, its not so easy to update the content of the web site in all languages on the same time and some times the content is realy different. So you need some special solutions for some exceptions. So with, page duplication, you can all the time use the standard dnn approch, standard dnn modules.

But, for e-commerce solutions a dont use pages duplication.

Not what I need neither.

Locopon's module did all I needed. Its ability to hide/display pages and modules. The main advantage of ML pages is that the visitor can switch language within a page and read the information for that page. The setup that I have on www (dot) cup (dot) edu (dot) kh is a mixture of ML pages and pages hidden in one or other language. ML pages have a LanguageSelector object, the others don't. The site uses Magic Content for ML HTML modules.

But it seems support is not always that forthcoming, especially with the migration to DNN5. Upgrade from dnn 5.2.1 to 5.2.2 ran on errors, I had to restore 5.2.1. Localizator 03.00.04Beta is still officially in beta. I will do some more tests with the upgrade and follow what his support forum has to say.

I just discovered that there are others with the same problem. Goto www (dot) khmersupport (dot) com and click on "nature tours" to see a page with his demo skin installed (fresh from the zip file through the extensions installation wizzard and no modifications.

I have to reconsider my options.

The problem with the payware is not so much that I don't want to pay, but that I have no access to electronic banking. I will have to find a good-hearted foreigner with plastic money to make me a donation.
