Hi,

Can someone tell me if DNN5 now has Multi Language Content built in or if we still need some third party module to support it?

I'd really like a link to get more info...

Thanks

Right now the modules that come with DNN5 don't support multi-language content. So I believe the best option is to use a third party module for the time being. That or setup duplicate pages and navigation for each language.

Starting with DNN 5.2.0, DNN core framework contains some base classes for localization of site, page and module properties, but no UI and far from a complete ML solution. For now, you will need to use a 3rd party solution for page localization (e.g. free EALO from ealo.codeplex.com or DSLocalizator from dnn.tiendaboliviana.com) and ML modules like magiccontent.codeplex.com.

Hi Sebastian,

Is there any documentation on what's available in the localization API delivered in 5.2.0? I want to understand the architecture to get a view on best practice for ML module development. All the localization documents I have seen are dated around 2006 and are about static localization.

How far away are we from ML features for core DNN modules? I guess it's going to mean rewriting them. Is that the case?
