We have added a new website using the newer DNN Community Edition ver 5.2.3. We have added an Events module and noticed that the dates default to US format which from our previous site (DNN ver 4.9.4) we knew we had to change the Default language to English (United Kingdom) in Admin>Advanced Settings>Other Settings. However, we only have the option of English (US) in the drop down box. So we went to Admin>Languages and added English (UK) and then selected it and saved resource settings. When we go back to Default Language it still only offers English (US). Could someone please tell me how to disable English (US) in CE5.2.3 and how we can install English (UK) so that we can select from Default Languages.

After browsing the forum we have found the solution. Go to Admin>Languages and if your language isn't there go to add language then select it and enable it. Then with English (US) in the drop down box select Edit Language, then unselect Enabled and save. That will make your previously enabled language the default language.
