Hi Guys,

I am having issues when I set dnn au language pack in admin when I set it I loss login and other items in the admin control panel. My main purpose is to use the local date time function. I only want to use australian settings as the site is only for australia.

My question is has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it. Is there another way of setting the date time format in the config files.

Any help would be appriciated.

Kind regards,
Buck

Having messed around with this a lot myself, the key is to remove the standard en-US language pack after you enable the Australian language pack.

Depending on your version of DNN, this can be a bit tricky, but the main thing to do is (a) backup your site before changing and (b) step through the process carefully and make sure each change 'sticks'.  IIRC it's easy to think you've disabled a language pack only to find out you haven't.

Some of the DNN Versions have some issues with this type of thing, so it's probably worth upgrading to the latest version if you haven't done so.

by design, it should be sufficient to add en-AU language with fallback en-US, (without installing any physical language pack!), enable it for your portal and disable en-US. This works fine in DNN 3, DNN 4 and should work as well in DNN 5.4, though I haven't tested it extensively yet.

Hi Sebastian,
When I set AU language pack as default I seem to loose all of my controls in the control panel, also in the forms. I have DNN 5.3 installed. If I delete the US language pack will it disrupt any of my modules.

Kind regards,
Buck

Paul, AFAIR there has been an issue in DNN 5.3, which should be solved in DNN 5.4
