I've just done a clean install of the released DNN 5.5 community.  I installed a nl-NL language pack, and published the nl-NL site.  Note this is a clean install with no third party modules.

Now, when I look at some of the pages with the /language/nl-NL in them - I don't get localized strings for things like 'privacy', 'terms', 'register' and 'login'.  I've checked this through a couple of times, tried with an anonymous user, disabled browser language detection - still I always get the en-US versions of all the standard DNN text strings.  The /language/nl-NL is clearly in the Url, so there's no doubt the language parameter is getting passed through OK.

Am I doing something wrong here?  I could swear that the first DNN 5.5 Beta I tried worked OK with this?

Sossy I can not answer your question but I have a question for you as you are also a Dutch user. Last week I installed the DNN 5.4.4 and found that when I am using the dutch mode, the text/content editor is different than the usual FCK editor and the pop up are blank with only the infill boxes. Do you have a dutch language pack that solve this problem?

Bruce, please be aware that in DNN 5.5.0 localization of static elements is no longer controlled by language parameter and language selector but by user preferred language or for unauthenticated users by browser settings or portal default language only. This might change in future versions.

Richard, Bruce is from Australia, AFAIK. But there are a couple of threads in this forum, how to localize RAD Editor, and besides, I posted a few minutes ago, how to revert back to FCK editor.

Hah! Yes, you got that right.  It's all Dutch to me.  I just choose Dutch because it's a good, complete language pack and the words are pretty close to english sometimes.  I also like oranges, and Heineken is pretty good.

Sebastian - the problem I reported earlier was with an anonymous user - I tried with and without the browser language detection enabled.  I don't know if it's something I've done wrong in the setup - I assume a bug of this proportion didn't make it through the testing process.  If you've got any ideas I'd like to know because I'd like to see it working the way I expect.
