Before 5.5 I could  use short urls like www.xxx.com/home.aspx and have it work for different languages. In admin languages i could check to include or not the language parameter in the url:s.
In 5.5 this checkbox is not there anymore and it seem that I can't have the nice short urls anymore.
If I have more than one language enabled I need to haver long urls.
I hope I have missed something and if so please advice me how to do.

If my findings are correct I think it's a major step backward for DNN if you can't use friendly url's as before if you have more than one languge enabled.

This make it impossible to upgrade to 5.5 without adding new modules to take care of the downgraded DNN version.

Any comments from the internationalization  team ???

AFAIK Bruce added ML support to his URLMaster module (see www.ifinity.com.au)

I know Sebastian, but I think its a breaking change when you have to buy a module to get it work as it did before.
And not a line about it in the announcement. I think its a showstopper bug.

The same for the change in static text localization. Whit the implempentation of localzation you cant get the static text and the content in sync.

It would be nice to have some comments from the team responsible for the implementation. As it is now you can't use it, matter of fact you cant upgrade to release 5.5 if you have more than one language enabled.

I think its a pity that a feature like this, in some parts very nice implemented, falling like a stone to the bottom at the sea.

Jan, I can't disagree. I logged a number of issues and discussed with the developers during beta tests, but some items did not make it into the current relases and may be included in future versions. Please be aware that there are compatibiltiy issues with existing tab localization issues.
