Hi,
It's the standard problem - my servers are on the Pacific time and my users are in Europe.    I'm using 5.5.1 and I've set my portal time zones to Pacific time.  I'd like to get my users registration to default to the UTC +1, but setting a default value of 60 in the Profile Property definition doesn't help - the register screen still defaults to the portal timezone.

Am I specifying the default value incorrectly or is this default just ignored?

Any future plan where DNN will disconnect the server time zone and the portal/anonymous user timezone?

Thanks,

timezone value in profile always defaults to portal default timezone. In theory, you should be able to use a different timezone for your site than the server TZ, but due to a core but (methods to convert between user and portal time are in fact called user2server time and vv.), this fails for a number of modules. There is still DST support on the to do list, which will replace these function, but I can't name you a release schedule for it.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Thanks Sebastian.

I'm looking forward to the day I can host my servers where I like and default my portal to another timezone.  All my sites fit this model and right now it's all a bit of a compromise.
