We have set up DNN 05.06.00 with 2 languages (english / german), core localization enabled. We have not the same amount of pages for english and german. If a page is added with page option "Localization: Create in Current Culture only" (added e.g. to english) - the page is also shown if a user switches language selector to "german". BUT at german - this page should not be shown / not be within menu / not be available at all!

Is there any way to get a multilangual portal with different amount of pages? OR does DNN core localization only supports multilangual portals with every page translated 1:1?

you may either delete translated page or hide it from menu

Hi Sebastian.
We have already tested those options - delete page or hide from menu! The problem is - DNN shows content, etc. from fallback language. E.g. we have got 10 pages in englisch - 8 from them are translated to german but not "Page 6" and "Page 7". If user is at "Page 6" (english version) and clicks at "german language" (DNN language selector) - the menu, breadcrumb text, bottom links, etc. are shown in german BUT content is shown in englisch (Page 6 en).

If there is no Page 6 in german - language selector should not work or ??? Can I send you some link and access to our testing server? See also scribble at http://www.creativemedia.li/portals/0...

Clemens, I fear that this is a limitation of the current implementation of Localized Pages in DNN 5.6 - please be aware that this is a VERY new feature. I know that Page Localization by Apollo and DSLocalizator allow you to hide pages or perform custom redirects.

Really a very bad limitation. Please can you inform DNN and open this as a "bug" or conceptional error? We do not want to use other modules or tools (Apollo...) because other problems occure (e.g. URL Rewrite, SEO...).
