Hi everybody!

I have a clean 5.6.0 dnn installation with 3 languages enabled
I try to disable Browser Lanaguage Detection through the Admin->Lanaguages check box, but it is still checked when i navigate away and then return to the page. Of course i can go to the PortalSettings table and manually edit the EnableBrowserLanguage to false

In some other older mulitilingual  installations, which have been updated recently to 5.6.0, i have the same problem setting the check box but also the corresponding database PortalSettings tables, are completly missing the EnableBrowserLanguage field.

Could someone please provide me with an explanation / solution to disable Browser Language Detection ?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Giannis,
I have the same problem with version 5.6.1. Because the update link is missing we can’t save the setting.
One workaround, while this issue isn’t solved, is to insert the ‘EnableBrowserLanguage’ setting into PortalSettings table, and restart the application.

If someone was a better solution I’d like to know about it.

This problem is persistent in version DNN 06.00.02 (72).

Right,

i have the same problem on DNN 6.0.2.
I have installed two languages and enabled content localization, the Update button now is away, so that i cannot save the change if i uncheck the Browser Language Detection.

the update buttoon should be displayed ABOVE the langauge grid in the middle of the page (I know, it is hard to locate).

Cheers from Germany,
