I've installed the modules/providers for EALO from ealo.codeplex.com - but now what do I do?

Do I need to install language packs from somewhere?

How would I actually enter content in another language now?

  • you need to install language packs to get static elements in multiple languages.
  • you need to modify the skin of your site to use EALO menu to provide the menu in multiple languages.
  • you need to use multilingual modules (the ones included or 3rd party), to provide content in multiple languages.
DO NOT COMBINE CORE CONTENT LOCALIZATION WITH ANY 3rd PARTY ML SOLUTION!

Excellent, thank you Sebastian.

Last question here... What language packs need to be installed and where do I get them?

I know I'll need one for each language the site is in, that's not my question. Are these language packs the same ones as the CORE language packs?

For each language to support, you need to install language packs covering the core and all extensions, usually all module and the HTML editor provider you are using. Due to issues of creating full packages in DNN 5, most ackages will be available separately only.

So, Sebastian, if you were using EALO, where would you go to download language packs?
