Hi everyone!

Did anybody in the community use the Blog module with dnn localization setting? I just tried localization of the test portal, and it appeared alright: a new localized page was automatically created with all the stuff of the original page on it including  the blog modules with all the English entries. Everything as expected, until...

...until I started localizing content (entries) of the blog module on the localized page. The localized entries showed up on the original page. It appeared that there were no separation within the blog module between the original page and the localized page so that no matter where the entry is created, it is shown in both pages/modules. I tried deleting all the modules from the localized page, and adding the blog module to the empty page with no positive result.  The guys from the blog team did that cause same blog module should be used on multiple pages for the purpose of filtering out personal blogs on a particular page.

But how should the portal be configured in order to have separate/different content within the modules on the localized page? I guess similar question would be: how should the blog module/dnn portal be forced to create a new module ID?

Thanks!
- David

Hi David, due to it's design, blog module is unable to run properly with new core content localization. This might get fixed in a future version of the module or the core framework.

Cheers from Germany,
