Hi all!

I’m not able to get Norwegian language in the DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider. This is on DNN 6.1.2. Please help.

I have translated the System language files and now have the files RadEditor.Dialogs.nb-NO.resx, RadEditor.Main.nb-NO.resx, RadEditor.Modules.nb-NO.resx and RadEditor.Tools.nb-NO.resx in the folder ..\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Telerik\App_LocalResources

I have further updated the Language value to nb-NO in the node Everyone under Default configuration under Host > HTML Editor Manager

The HTML Editor still do not pick up the translated values. I have restarted the app, deleted cache and so on.

Can anyone please assist?

Arnt,

Look at Tobias Wiklunds solution my identical problem, dated 9/27/2011:

Hi Rune!

I have now found the solution to the problem with language settings that you (and I) had with the editor.

With DotNetNuke 6, we have a new panel for the settings of the editor. It can be found under Host>> HTMLEditor Manager. Here you can select the language for both the editor and spell check. If you also have the right spelling file for your local language, this will work. In your case, en-SE.td.

To get a detailed description on how to resolve this read on this forum where I explain it step by step and in Swedish

Note that the RadEditor that DNN uses is a spin-off of Telrik RadEditor and no help or support DNN users. Settings for Telrik RadEditor is a hint, but usually not the solution for DNN users that got stuck

/Tobias

Thanks Rune,

I did look at what Tobias described but I need this to work for the entire Host install (all portals).

I think I have gone through the necessary steps, but perhaps I misunderstood something? It should not be required to add a new configuration, right?

Does anyone having some more input to this problem?

I think this should be easy to answer for the people who coded this. :)

Could you please tell us how this is supposed to work. :)

Or, perhaps someone else have figured this out?

Please help!
