Good day,   I have a dev site that is 5.4.4  we created some modules and enabled localization with english and spanish.  everything seems to work fine.

I've copied those modules to a site that is 5.6.3  /  The site also has localization enabled.  And it is working for everything except these modules.  The menus and html modules are working just fine.  The page culture is showing as spanish as is the custom module.   The resource file is there, and I just don't understand why it's not picking it up.

Another odd thing is that in the admin/language the site default is english.  I have no way to change it.  It also has broswer check enabled, but there's no way for me to uncheck it as it never applies.  I have no way to "save" it.  I also can not switch the site default language.

If anyone can point me in a direction it would be greatly appreciated.  Even if there's something in the DB that i can change (i've looked and the tabs, modules, and portals look correct in the DB showing the EN-US and ES-Es as appropriate.   This one is killing me?!

Thank you...

how are you copying these module overs - do you just mean the zip files and doing an install, or are you creating a portal template?

Admin UI language in Edit mode is derived from User Profile, you may use AdvancedControlPanel from www.oliverhine.com to get a UI to switch it as you like.
