I have a website that I've upgraded from DNN 4.x to DNN 6.1.2 using Will Strohl's suggested upgrade path (http://www.willstrohl.com/Blog/EntryId/102/Suggested-DotNetNuke-Site-Upgrade-Path-s). I'm having an issue in Firefox only where the client's language will be set to en-GB when the default is really en-US. I've replicated this in Firefox on both a Mac and PC, cleared cookies, etc. This is not an issue in Chrome. I've also checked to make sure en-GB wasn't in the language settings for the Firefox versions I'm using, and they are not. Just "en" and "en-US", with en-US set as the default.

In DotNetNuke, I have "Detect Language" set in the host settings, and en-US set as the default, along with en-GB and es-MX.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Or maybe someone can provide some insight.

there is a known issue with language detection on first page call, which will be fixed in one of the next DNN versions.

Cheers from Germany,

Sebastian-

Are you referring to this issue? http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=15122&PROJID=2

It seems to only be affecting Firefox on first page load.

Thanks for the prompt response.

Still no fix in DNN 6.1.3. This is quite concerning that users in Firefox are unable to view the correct language.

Is this the correct issue? http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=15122&PROJID=2

Hey everyone,

I'm facing this issue not just on firefox, the behavior is also available on ie8. This is pretty upsetting to me since i'm using the language for several of my modules and the message returned is:

A critical error has occurred. Input string was not in a correct format.

It seems that System.Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentUICulture.Name or   System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture are returning NULL values on language switch.
