Hello,

we have installed DotNetNuke with German Language pack and skin:

German: DotNetNuke Community 6.1.3 DotNetNuke DarkKnight Skin Pack 1.0.1

All worked fine, switching from English to German, translated all menu's etc... to german version.

After this we have enabled "Allow Content Localization" and the run the process "Enable Content ...." (cannot be reverted).

We can now edit the content per Language, but all general/navigation elements (menu etc..) will not get translated anymore.

Is this a bug? Or do we have to re-apply the German Language pack and skin?

Thanks

This is by design; being logged in as a page editor in edit mode, static texts are displayed in your preferred language - imagine you have to copy and paste in chinese text and cannot identify target fields and submit button.
you may install free Advanced Control Panel from www.oliverhine.com, which allows you to change UI language within the CP.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Thanks for responce. I understand this, but is was not translating in non-admin mode. I have it working now, this is what i did:

-main menu was showing "Home (DE-DE)" etc.. in German mode, I change it back to default "Home" still nothing.

-I remove all German Lang. packs and skins

-removed German language from Admin->Language Management

-Restart IIS

-Add German to Admin->Language Management

-reinstall German Lang.packs and skins

Now it works, Thanks
