My apologies for all these emails. Where can I access the language editor? In the Form and List module? I cannot find anywhere this option. When I go to manage the module and click on the Form and List configuration, is there an option there?

Language editor is accessed in Admin Languages, when clicking "Edit Static Resources" - in your case using "System" column to create a base translation for this extension.

Sebastian,

Thank you for listing the basic workflow. Amazing how hard it is to find that basic piece of information!

I am running DNN V7.02.  After I have. performed steps 1 through 6 i need to do step 7. In my case, i have translate the entire site to Chinese.  I am not fluent in Chinese so luckily my helper is and has given me all the text in chinese that i will need.  If I am viewing the site in the default language (English) and go to settings, and select Chinese and say mark as ready for translation, i don't really see any change. I assume it is just emailing user(s) in the Translator role that the page is ready.  So I click the Edit icon for the Chinese page which is then displayed in edit mode.

I can read the page name (Home zh-CN) so i am sure i am on the copy. I hover over the appropriate icon in the containers header with the intent to select "Edit Content" but alas, everything is in Chinese.....which i can't read so well.

So, in effect, how do i use English for the commands/actions etc and literally allow me to just update the content itself, the module title with chinese?  It seems a bit odd that the display language of a page is forced upon me just because i want to provide chinese text in the content area and module titles.  Is there some magic way around this, or am i going to be relegated to working in the database directly?

Any other suggestions about how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Regarding step N7. This is big and most complex step in the whole process.

If you are using native DNN Html module, iLangL TMS for DNN can help you in translation process.

Regarding your question - if the modules that you are using read text resources from resx files you just need translate source resx to corresponding Russian resx file.

Best Regards,
