I am translating Dnn 4.3/3.3 for the Norwegian part of the Community and see some changes I don't understand.

When I log in as admin and use the language editor the saved file get the extension nb-NO.Portal-0.resx.

When I log in as host and press the host radiobutton on the top the language editor, the saved file get the extension nb-NO.Host.resx.

When I log in as host and press the system radiobutton the saved file get the extension nb-NO.resx.

Why are there three variants, and should a distributed language pack include all three variants?

the only variant you have to include is the one that gets created when you select the system radio button from the host language editor. The other variants are there for instance or portal specific translations (for admins or hosts to override the default resources, which you are creating)

cheers,

Erik

after translation to pack your resource files into a loadable language pack use the "create language pack" command
