Hi,

I am trying to use the 6.1.5 native localization features... is it possible to avoid displaying the country in the language tooltip and how? In other words, is there an option to redefine the "title=" in the img tag of the language flag?

Thanks

Franco

you will need to use a different langauge selector, e.g. free one from Apollo, available on codeplex.

Hi Sebastian,
thank you for the hint, I did not know the MLLanguageSelector could be used with the native dnn localization. I have installed it and it works as a module, but not as an object. The object generates always the current page links for all the languages. For instance, if you are in the US home page it generates www.mydomain.com/en-us/home.aspx for all the language flags. If you are in the French home page all the flags are hyperlinked with www.mydomain.com/fr-fr/accueil.aspx.
I think I have installed it correctly as I have it on other websites using the full Apollo PL suite.

Any idea of what might be wrong?

Franco

P.S. In order to display the langauge only label on flag mouseover (the original need for this thread), one has to patch the MLLanguageSelector.ascx file with ToolTip='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container, "DataItem.name") %>' at lines 38 and 52 (

I pulling my hair on this and out of desperation I tried with the Interzoic language skin object, Surprisingly it works fine and no need to patch it either.
