Hi guys,

The last time I worked on a multi-language website, I used Localization Extensions and I really liked it because it simply created copies of the pages and there were no complications with editing or presenting different content in each language. Now I noticed it has been discontinued and all I can find is the Core DNN Localization which apparently is not that flexible.

I read somewhere that after the appliance of this feature, it can't be reverted and I'm not even sure of what that means exactly, just that it messes with the database structure. I'm using DNN 06.02.00 and would like to know if anyone can recommend something like the old Localization Extensions or tell me if I'm wrong with the Core feature.

Regards,

if you prefer a page per language and do not use multilingual modules or modules storing data per website (like Blog), you may use Core Content Localization, maybe together with localization tool from Sasha (to be found on codeplex). Start with a backup, prior to enabling the feature for your site.

Thanks for the help, Sebastian. I used core localization and that's all I needed. Can you please tell me how to change the country part of the language? For example, what if I want to change English (United States) to English (Britain). I already changed flag by changing the name.

Also, I have spanish as default language and the site lands on english version by default. Why is this happening?

Thanks,

if you want to replace en-US by en-GB, add language en-GB using en-US as fallback (without language pack) and disable en-US. this should be done prior to enabling content localiization, otherwise you will need to adjust culture for your pages and modules manually in the database

Thanks for the quick response. What about the english language showing as default on welcome page. My default culture is spanish and it's still opening the page in english.
