Using DNN 4.0.3 - I have just tried to apply a language pack by changing the Site Settings Language from English to French. The only change it seems to have made is to the date.
I expected all the skin objects and admin pages text to change - have I done something wrong?

if you change language, all built in dnn ui should switch language. What skinobject are you using to change the language? Where did you download the french language pack? Do you have cookies enabled?

It's hard to say what you did wrong.. this should work straight away....

Thanks for the reply... Thought I'd missed something obvious. I thought that because the language choices were there to add in the 'add new locale dropdown' that they were available. Not true!!

So I downloaded the language pack from this site and it all works great now

Language packs have to be downloaded separately; they are not included in DNN installation packages, to reduce download size and speed up release process, as localizations are provided by individual community members.
