Sorry if this post is in the wrong place or if its an obvious answer.

I enabled my site with UK English and immediately started getting errors... I assumed that this was due to the server being located in the US and not having a UK language installed.

Am I right and is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks,

The server location should make no difference. What errors are you getting? You will certainly get Admin Alerts because all the resource files need localizing. If this is your problem, let me know and I'll describe what you need to do.

Initially I added UK English as an option and then disabled US English and then set the location to UK English is all the places where you can.

I found that on some pages I got a Critical Error, object reference is null and yes lookng back over the logs I think it was the fact that the individual modules needed resource files localised.

So if you could describe how to go about this I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks,

Well I never got critical errors from this. But then I didn't disable US English, that sounds a bit dangerous to me, since I think UK English will fall back to US English if it can't find the files. Have a look at this thread, and let me know if it isn't clear enough.

Every time you view a resource in a language it creates a copy of the US English one with the correct extension to be used by the language you are viewing.

OK - I enabled UK English without disabling US English this time and now I am getting a critical error in the Forum module as follows. I have opening a number resource files such at controls/texteditor.asax in the hope of resolving this but haven't made any progress. Can anyone point me to the solution please.
