DDN comes with Country sublists for Canada and the United States, with Region sublists giving the states/provinces for each.  If you want to add additional sublists for other countries, this can be a tedious process.

Is there any way to import a sublist?  Also, can Country sublists somehow be linked to or included with a language pack?  Or am I talking apples and oranges here?

There's not currently a feature to bulk upload items in lists but it shouldn't be that difficult. You directly point to the underlying table and load whatever data you need.

I don't think country list should be tied to language packs. You can have an international site with more than a language and this does not require you have to have all country-regions defined. Two different item from my point of view.

However, I think it's not such a bad idea to offer a language resource like service to the current lists. What i mean by this that it would be nice if it would be possible to export a sublist to a resource package, and an import function that would allow for easy addition of a sublist. This way we could also have a rich list of country regions available, just like with languages....

just a thought...

cheers,

All,

FYI: I've a script here with additional regions for DNN3 for about 30 countries. I never added them to the core, as I found it difficult to get ISO standard lists, but it may be a help. Feel free to user/ignore it as you see fit.
