I'm trying to enable Live ID in 5.1.4. Downloading the Live ID module fails to install. Any ideas on how I can install the thing? It's all set up with MSN.

it's installed by default when you first install dotnetnuke, so it's likely already there. To enable it log in as host and go to host->extensions, click the pencil icon and check it's enabled (it will be by default). This makes it available to all portals under the site, but you still have the ability to switch it on and off granularly. If it's enabled, go to admin->extensions and click the pencil icon beside liveid and enable it for the portal you want

Yes, that did it, thank you. Two issues come up as a result:

1. It appears I can't associate a live ID with a Host Account. Correct? Wouldn't take, had to create a new one for testing.

2. Trying to use it on this site to log in resulted in the following error trying to hook the liveID to my login:

A critical error has occurred. Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.UserAuthentication' with unique index 'IX_UserAuthentication'. The statement has been terminated.

So, now I have to use a different browser to log in because a cookie keeps trying to force me to use the hook up or create a new account. What am I missing? Finally, I have both V1 and V2 LiveID on my site. Should I delete version 1? I activated 2.
