I'm having some minor issues with AD integration and was wondering if anyone could provide some answers for me.

We are using DNN in an intranet environment with AD enabled. Everything works fine except when looking at the Log Viewer I'm seeing 'Login Success' for the same user a number of times in quick succession. The users are not closing their session off so I'm wondering why it would behave this way.

The following is a sample of the log for a single user. Note that they are logged in 5 times in the course of about 7 minutes.

7/5/2007 1:07:12 PM   Login Success   DOMAIN1\user1   Test Intranet   IP: 10.10.40.16; WindowsAuthentication: True;  ...

Is anyone else seeing this same thing?

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner on this. I saw your post just before a meeting and then forgot about it.

Some repeated Login Success messages are normal but not in the time span that you're seeing (at least not that I've seen on my AD sites). I'd like to do some further testing though so what version of DNN are you using so I have a baseline to start with?

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply.

We are currently using DNN 4.4.0, although I've seen the same thing on later versions that I've tested. I have the root site set up with both anonymous and windows authentication and the windowssignin.aspx page with only windows authentication.

Thanks Richard. I'll put it on my list of things to test next week.

Hi Mike, did you get a chance to look at this. We have recently upgraded to 4.5.5 and it's exhibiting the same behaviour.
