I restarted the application, i did install the dnn ad fix a while back. I followed the instructions on "how to install ad for beginners" pretty well. and like i mentioned it works fine - until i login as admin or host, click the authentication under admin menu - and the error happens:

I'd restore your DNN install back to original (replace the .dlls you replaced in the DNN AD fix with the originals from your install files) and then try it. I suspect you may have installed the wrong DNN AD Fix (there's one for each version up to DNN 4.5.3, I haven't done one for 4.5.4 yet).
